jmi ceramix is a line of ceramic pieces by artist and designer Jeremiah Barber. Handmade and glazed in San Francisco, they are wheel-thrown with playful geometric handles and modernist color breaks, with traces of the artists’ hand. These pieces flirt along a spectrum of functional vessels and whimsical art objects, made for many different hands and intimate, surprising ways of being held. Barber has been a long time Bay Area maker, with a studio at Minnesota Street Projects. He works at the Museum of Craft and Design and teaches sculpture at the University of California, Davis.
